So if they complete the Q1 milestone for a 100nm ring oscilator and a 50GHz VCSEL, at what point does proof of yield or manufacturability enter into the equation? When Desimone says 'and adds repeatability and quality to our manufacturing process', does that mean there are still more elements that will be required prior to actually manufacturing a prototype and measuring yield? Or will the development of a prototype actually include hard yield performance data?

And finally, would the completion of these two Q1 milestones (RO and VCSEL) apply to both PET and POET, or would there be differing RO and VCSEL performance standards for POET?
