Sheldon invested a fair bit of money into the company when financing was difficult and in return received shares at a very good price, along with some generous options / warrants. Perhaps he encouraged some of his contacts to participate also. Not begrudging it, this stimulus may in fact have saved the company. His large holdings got him a seat on the board IMO. He is not a visionary or driving force like Steve Jobs. Not even close. Dr. Taylor on the other hand...
It's just a theory, and one I believe previously presented that the 'enemies' SI has made along the way played a part in driving PNP down to a point where he was removed from that company. I tend to agree with with that possibility. Alot of contacts but not all of them for the positive. I think his time at the grown up table will soon come to an end as I don't think he has much left to offer this company. I agree with a previous poster that his presence may be a liability at this point Worry not, he and his firends will hopefully be very wealthy as a result of his investment here and I have a hard time sympathizing with his position.
