The highlighted text below is from an article that was written on another site last fall. I have it bookmarked and those two paragraphs are printed and on a strategic place on our POET wall. Its of interest to me, not because of the veracity of the authors experience or reputation, nor due to what is actually said in it. Except for one thing.The comment regarding Mr. Manochas marketing clout.

Theres been much discussion on the forum lately regarding NDA's. Now its apparent to me that clout in anything is inversely proportional to the reputation of the person, persons, company, or organizations who have this clout. Sam Smith the local news agent may have a great reputation amongst his newspaper buying customers, but due to the small circle of these customers, and their reasons for visiting him, his clout is limited.

Now partake in Ajit Manocha's a-list clout certification. Many CEOs, organizational heads, presdents and prime ministers, are on his contact list. You can bet (as I have mentioned in past) he does not have to start with the purchasing department head to get an appointment to extoll PTK's virtues. Alternatively, he gets to the head chair, the leadership team, executive committee, the board, etc, right now. No BS, no time wasted, direct to the point, "watch my slide show".

So it stands to reason, if I am "Ed Bigguy" CEO of the "Fruit Phone Company", that not only do I know his credibility level and his resume accomplishments, I see what his presentation is and love it, and want it. BUT.......do I want the public and/or the public market to know I am seeing him ? do I want my competitors to know I am seeing him ? do I want my own suppliers to know I am seeing him ?....no, no and no. The longer I can keep this information underwraps, the more advantageous it is to me, my company, my future. Now multiply that x10 and then you begin to manufacturer a labyrinth of legalities boxed into a series of NDA's. Clearly worded I am sure, but still dependent on the "Domino Effect".

The company has survived a very long development timeline which has left all other VC-backed startups broken, giving it a considerable competitive edge. Also with Executive Vice Chairman, Ajit Manocha's status and ability to call industry heavyweights such as Tim Cook (Apple) and Eric Schmidt (Google) to the table, the company has significant marketing clout.

The POET platform is a serious a game changer, offering a 100X speed improvement combined with a 10-100X improvement in power efficiency over the standard CMOS silicon IC. There is little doubt that POET has the potential to dominate what is currently a $430.0 billion dollar semiconductor market..............
