some of today's discussion questions the commercial viability of POET. My logic says POET IS THE REAL DEAL. I had my doubts a few years back but am now convinced that POET is commercially viable. This is based on my own DD, as well as, reading some of the great stuff on this forum. I am not trying to convince anyone but rather sharing my logic. As usual everyone has to do their own DD and decision maing. To be clear I am long POET and have been since I got in as part of ODIS.

The main points for me are:

1) UCONN wouldn't have done the deal they did last year absent an expectation that doing so would result in a better net value to UCONN. Proof would have been required.

2) AM would not have come on board and stayed after his own due diligence and assessment of POET unless there was a real high probablility of success. He wouldn't open his rolodex unless he had a real product that was commercially viable. Why would he hook up with a very small cap company unless he was convinced?

3) Office in California opened

4) Recruiting permanent CEO and key people and expanding Board

5) Exercise of warrants by knowledgeable investors

6) Synopsis validation underway

7) PC's statements regarding Lab to Fab and planned completion of key work by end of January. If they were jerking investors around they wpuld have pushed key dates out further

8) Patents (40+) and product enhancements are very strong and continuing development. The patents alone are possibly worth $mil??? Hard to put a vaule on these unique ones but possibly $1 mil/patent or more based on the patents that have been sold in the past 2 years.

9) Some other optic companies are valued in the plus $0.5 bil Market value and they only have optical devices nothing anywhere near POET's devices and patents

10) Third party validation

11) 2015 is the International Year of Light http://spie.org/x93905.xml (The International Society of Optics and Photonics). Isn't it fitting that it also will be POET's year?

I could go on but even when the stock gets kicked around and you or I have doubts there are many touch stomes that I'm sure others have/could offer that will help us all see the rock solid foundation that POET and Dr T have built. Yes we do need some patience, some good press releases and a little luck but when you have the real deal at some point soon the dawn of POET's light will be here.
