Agreed, it isn't going to happen.

Although theoretically an ally, I doubt the US military, who funded POET/OPEL/ODIS, would allow technology like this fall into any foreign hands, ownership-wise.

That being said, I have had difficulty with this question for sometime, hence the reason I brought up BAE last week, wondering where they went to.

I think BAE could be bigger in this than most believe, only because of their close relationship with the Americans.

AMD is wholly American owned, and spun off GF in 2009.
