Is this who you are referring to? If it is, then I would have though the answer to your question is fairly obvious. This technology will not potentially revolutionise a $500B+ market. As such, the need to stay under the radar for POET at this time is imperitive.
Oculus, by the looks of it, have a working product, that people can see and touch and use. They therefore they can be far more aggresive with their marketing.
