I had an out-of-body-near-POET-riches experience today....

I'm in the liquor store part of Costco here in Florida and a guy walks up and points and asks the clerk for "one of those bottles". He says to the clerk "I gotta get it because I heard it's on sale."

He was referring to the fact that a bottle of 40-year single malt scotch was reduced from $699 to $599....before 7% tax

It happened about 1.5 hours ago and I'm still stunned at the price......and the nonchalance of the guy who bought it. I was so amazed that I never even got the name of the scotch but it was not Glenlivet.

Oh, what a sheltered life I lead.....until Poet develops, perhaps. Still, I'm not sure I could ever rationalize that kind of expenditure even if I had the coin.

Anyway, all the best to everyone for a happy Christmas season and for good health and Poet wealth in 2015.
