Global 3Q14 semiconductor equipment billings rise 15% on year, says SEMI

Worldwide semiconductor manufacturing equipment billings increased 15% on year to US$8.82 billion in the third quarter of 2014, according to SEMI. However, the figure is 8% lower than the prior quarter.
Worldwide semiconductor equipment bookings were US$9.32 billion in the third quarter of 2014. The bookings figure is 4% higher than the same quarter a year ago, but 6% lower than the bookings figure for the second quarter.
