There is no doubt that we as a group are feeling the tension, whilst we wait for news, but that's the inevitable consequence of the POET centric mania, a mental disease that many of us regular posters are suffering from. Let's take a step back.
There is no history in this company of releasing news when it is expected in fact the reverse is true. If this company was rated on its form, it would not be at all surprising to me, if the news on PDK and move to the third party fab was given later than expected.
If I was in the CEO's shoes, my main concern would be an entirely different focus than satisfying shareholder, or groups of shareholders, expectation at this critical development stage. Whilst, I would be busting to let you all know what you want to know about just how advanced we are, I must first consider the needs of partners and customers as far more important. That’s point one, point two is that I have a strategy to build up the share price over a given period of time in anticipation of a NASDAQ listing. With this in mind I would think the big news roll-out should occur in a planned way over a period of time leading up to the point of the achievement of regular income from NRE and then other sources e.g. licensing deals and royalties. The timing of my roll out announcements, must therefore be coordinated with the realistic expectation of income. The question is when should that strategy begin?
Taking my CEO shoes off; I cannot see any reason for the news roll-out to start out before Christmas. The reason being that over Christmas and the New Year the real world goes on holiday. I therefore think PC will not release his news hounds until the holiday period is over and the world gets back to work.
At best we may get a no consequence update before Christmas which will make no difference to SP growth but at best will be perhaps a warning order to expect more in 2015, much of this has already been signalled in news releases.
So I sort of hate to say this and I would be happy to be wrong, but logic tells me we are going to have to be patient until 5/6th of January 2015 for real news at best.
The only antidote to our mania is ‘deck the hall with boughs and berries’ - 't'is the season to be merry'.
