Good to see the big boys (Google and friends) increasing the pressure for chip manufacturers to compete and strive for the best product. Intel have been soaking up a lot of bucks on moderate cost saving advances since they've always been the "go to" for most. Not that they were dragging their feet, but now they really need to consider more options and turn it up a notch.
This certainly fares well for POET (when) it becomes a mainstream option in the coming years. It will certainly add a higher level of consideration from the big players to follow the GaAs path if companies like Google, Amazon, etc are all putting the pressure on.
It's an inovation that seems to be what these big companies are looking for. Guys like Intel who may he felt their business model worked and didn't plan to deviate too far from the beaten path, will be more open to take the leap sooner than later on new processes.
Everything seems to be coming up Aces for POET lately.
