Today I listened again to Eric Schmidt at the EC-event.
Explanation: Please have a look at http://www.vvcnetwork.ca/empireclub/20141001/ at about 36:30
When Eric talked about their lens project (glucose sensor in lenses to monitor Diabetes) of google X as one of their next big thing, I realized that POET would be the ideal chip for such a wearable miro-computer. And this is just one of many possible micro-wearable medical applications:
1. - A POET chip could generate the necessary energy by its ability to work as a photocell.
2. - The low energy consumption of POET would help a lot to keep it running without charging.
3. - POET could give light signals as a warning – on chip!
4. - POET could communicate via RFID or WIFI due to its RF-abilities.
5. - A one chip solution is very robust, and also much more fail safe and rigid...
6. - This lens would need only one single chip which would save a lot of production cost
I do not believe in coincidence - that Ajit was present in this meeting...
