Quite some time ago I wrote to Mr Chu at IR to do something about the inadequate Corporate Overviews.
There was no reply but I must say that POET Technologies Inc (PTI) have at last made it possible for a potential shareholder visiting their web site to grasp in some detail just what is unique about the POET process.
The work to improve its public image through its corporate literature was completed for a reason; for me it demonstrates PTI’s growing maturity and management’s grip on the essentials. \More importantly the timing of the production of the overviews is a precursor to a strategic initiative that will see a coordinated push to move the Company to a NASDAQ listing.
Such a move would not make sense unless a revenue profile of PTI could be built up by those technical investment funds that this strategy is aimed at. Such funds cannot invest in PIC unless they can demonstrate to their companies that POET is not only a technical opportunity of some magnitude but primarily is a significant investment opportunity. Most however cannot even look at a Venture Capital listed company
Place yourself in the role of a technical investment fund head honcho and what are the ingredients in a report of any new tech company you would consider as must haves: Sound Management, Proven Product with a Market for that Product, Partnerships, Customers, Risk, Revenue and Potential Growth, immediately spring to mind. All those ducks are currently being lined up by PIC and the clock is ticking down on their announcement, but a NASDAQ listing requires the SP to be sustained at a given level for a given period. This is where we shortly will be heading as PIC rolls out the announcements with ever growing weight until such a level and period can be sustained
This is getting very interesting to be part of and not the time to be a short.
Are you all buckled up?
