Sunday morning musings based on our last Thursdays POET group discussion.

Some very interesting musings, answers and opinions were brought forth. One in particular involves the previous and oft discussed new CEO. The name mentioned formerly with AMD was strongly represented as someone who could take this situation upword, along with votes for a couple of names from Apple, Fairchild Semicon, and yes ...Intel. All had merits, however a couple had extremely interesting merits, including a comment regarding "jumping from a sinking ship to a rocket ship". Which really, I expect any new comer will feel (the rocket ship) an opportunity of a lifetime to steer into the future. There is no doubt that there will be a heavyweight name selected. My opinion is the heavier the name, the more expectations they have for exponential success. The more benefit to us (long and short term).

One last item of interest. The ten questions brought forth for discussion by the team leader. I paraphrase them here for you to debate, discuss, debase or decide.

1-Who (or will there be) will be the jv partner(s) ?

2-(or 1A)-Who (what company and what portion of the technology) will be the first revenue generator ? How much revenue (now and down the road).

3-What technical milestone will be next (obvious or a surprise) ?

4-Who shall be the king (CEO) ? (Taking into account the gravity or reverence of the selection will be a definitive sign of present and future global relevance)

5-How big will POET become and PTK as a company, ascend to ? (Market Share ?)

6-Who will be the first "adoptor" of a portion or all of the technologies available ?

7-Who or what type of media will be first to pick up on the POET "story" ?

8-What shape will a marketing program take, who will spearhead it (industry - or individual company) in the beginning, and in the future ?

9-How will the shape, style, and content of the marketing program promote the world to POET ?

10-When will POET become a top ten brand similar to Coca-Cola, Mcdonalds, and dare I say.....Intel ?
