Fairchijisback is spot on.
There are definitely low hanging fruit opportunities that can go-to-market much quicker than most realize on this board.
The OE vertical is one and we read from public information many pointers to this fact; and there are more.
Additionally, I am excited that the restructuring is now complete as per the last NR.
This now makes room for new blood, new industry known leaders / change agents.
So I think we should now be watching for the following updates over the coming weeks / months :-
JV / Partner type deal.
Early adopter company looking to leap-frog their competition (short term exclusivity).
Addition of Optical / Electrical specialist. Note that Dan was the addition needed for PET. We still need the OE addition and this will bolster the succession planning and reduce the risk should something incapacitate the good doctor. Note also the TDK's and PDK's also vastly reduce the "Key Person" risk.
In a growing embryonic company like POET, we'll need a Sales / Marketing addition that can lead this very important role; PC and Ajit even with splitting the Co-Chair responsibilities, are very busy and the workload is only going to increase. Time to bring in a big name to own this role and drive it hard.
New CEO - Ajit is clearly satisfied with the network / strategist role. Time to bring in another big name to head-up the ship and execute to Ajit's & PC's plan. I find this particulary exciting .... imagine our little POET with Ajit and then another whopper name on board.
I commend the POET management team for carefully molding the company structure and progressing the disruptive technology.
All the above are exciting.
And I'll end on this quote from PC : when asked at the AGM to comment on his previous statement during the Midasletter interview regarding a deal "late 2014 and certainly early 2015" .... PC replied "I am sticking with that". We are now in that time zone.
I will not be posting until we see news of some of the above because only then will there be someting significant to post about.
So, alas, looks like I'll be posting in the near future :o)
All the best,
ST
