I can say this. The 3-5 year time scale is legitimate to some manufacturers. It is a red Herring for others. I have to say though, which 3-5 year period do you want to use ? and what date does the 3-5year period start ?

Does the public think that the new Ford F150 all aluminum truck body that the Ford Motor Company is betting heavily on, was developed 3-5 years in duration ? Or 18 in 24 months ? Or was it developed 30 years ago but they put it aside until Aluminum became cheaper and production methods became more economy of scale effective ?

To say there are layers or shrouds of disinformation out there in our industry is to be correct. Competition in most industries is fierce, in technology its maniacal. So any way you can publicly steer your competiton the other way or another way, you do so. It gets quite creative in fact.

So that I do not receive yards of mail from those persons who believe what they do. I am NOT saying this is what PTK does. I am saying this is what is done and that PTK could be doing as well.
