I thought I should qualify my comment regarding our recent sp decline which I attributed to TSX stock manipulation. Of course the insder selling and options and warrents contributed to it along with any TSX manipulation, or short sellers. It is looking a little better currently.
My point was that our technolgy fundamentals are very strong even if the sp doesn't reflect our true value. Even at this early stage (we're getting closer now). We're talking about having our lasers and receptors in the same chip. On such a small scale, manipulating the photons with the emmiter and receptor on a single chip to transfer information is profound. Having a laser on one chip and aligning the receptor on another, different chip (a lot of what they're doing now) is very very difficult to align, and when subject to impact (real life wear and tear, like dropping your cell phone) , very fragile, no matter how it is packaged, it can go out of alignment. It wouldn't take much with the few photons they use at that scale. That is if they do use the very best technolgy - Optics. in the iPhone for instance
Of course the very nature of our composite, Gallium Arsinide, has inherent advantages to Silicon in scalability, ie. reduction in node size, without spending billions and billions to do it due to its abadunce of available electrons/photons, for applications that are purley electronic, (within the chip) without the fiber optic capability being utilized.
