Dan's presentation, as well as those by Peter and Taylor, etc., have all been filled with valuable yet heavily dry material. I love this technology but the talks they have been giving would put you to sleep. They know their stuff and provide the data to the other techminded individuals, but it would be nice if they had a PR figurehead who could add some life, energy and appeal to these presentations.

No "Um's" and "Ah's" and monotone slide presentation dialogue. They should hire someone who can sit down, have them well versed in the technology and company goals, and appeal to the young energy of many in silicon valley.

I completely understand the technology is one that requires some statistical and dry material when presenting, but they need a character with the clarity and precision of a great public speaker when giving public presentations. Someone to spark verbal life into an already phenomenal development.

For a "behind the scenes" type of technology like POET, which is essentially a process vs a product, arguably they don't need a spokesperson to appeal to the masses, but I still don't think it would hurt to have a little life and appeal to their tech talks to the industry insiders.

Or at least give their existing guys some lessons in polishing their presentations. Couldn't hurt with boosting media coverage either.
