I only see exclusivity being useful for fabricators, but not for manufacturers of devices or other end users. No sense limiting uses when you have exclusive control over fabrication/production.
Poet needs to go same route as Microsoft and Intel and make their product available to all manufacturers for every possible device where applicable .....BUT under exclusive contracts with 1-2 fabricators. I say 1-2 fabricators, which appears to defy the essence of exclusivity, because Poet will need to meet and sustain the 'huge' demand that will ensue.
DD presented here reveals that Poet chips will be easy/cheap to make relative to the status quo. Thus, Poet/Fabs could stick close to current prices and still make gobs of money. If they choose to charge a premium due to the chip's other benefits (less heat, smaller space, faster, etc...) ......well, that's another financial story altogether. :)
