Ya, they're scumbags who'll take any shares they can get; someone is stashing them away and enjoying these relatively low prices. I don't believe this is a mistake; whoever wants them wants them as close to $1CAD as possible, apparently.

You say MM's can naked short?....I believe that it is illegal....you might want to check that.
