Yes, at the beginning (10 year or less transition period) but that's my guess. How can you replace a tech like CMOS (Complementary metal–oxide–semiconductor).? First you complement CMOS with POET (Planar Opto-Electronic Technology) and PET (Planar Electronic Technology) which (if accepted) will evolve on its own as time passes by, just like silicon has done for the past 40 years or so. Step by step my friend :)

First comlement and integrate and then take over ;) and who knows maybe soon we will be calling POET instead of CMOS.
