BCD: The Poet TDK was announced as complete on April 7th.
WARNING, nit picking ahead! (If you enjoy such things, read on! Else just recommend this post and click on "Next Message"! :-))
Hm, since you mentioned the TDK: The company sometimes is lousy, imprecise and inconsistent on wordings. This can be seen easily at the news release BCD is referring to. It announced … – oh, what was it that was actually announced on April 7th? The headline of that NR reads as follows:
Ah, okay. So they announced the POET Technology Design Kit Documentation (repeat: Documentation) and they abbreviated it as POET/TDK or simply TDK, as can be seen in the NR's text. Well, that's confusing, because:
In the same NR they introduced some more terms:
Perhaps they were (understandably) not quity happy with these definitions themselves. Anyhow, in the news release of 2014-05-27 the term PET/TDK no longer means "PET Technology Design Kit Documentation", but simply "PET Technology Design Kit" (without the word "Documentation"). This term seems to mean the PET devices modeled in TCAD software. In other words: The PET/TDK is a library of all PET device models and their corresponding process models. Okay, that makes sense, except that the wording is inconsistent again when the NR speaks of "PET/TDK models" when "PET/TDK" should be sufficient.
After we have had a few months' time to get accustomed to the term TDK, the first news release of 2014-09-02 changed that to without any explanation to PDK (Process Design Kit). Regarding the PDK for PET, they omitted the slash and are now writing "PET PDK" instead of "PET/PDK". However, at one place they didn't pay attention and still wrote "PET/PDK". Oh, they even had it "PET/TDK" in the forward-looking information disclaimer.
The second news release of the same day is consistent with that. Even the disclaimer is correct.
Okay, enough nit picking for tonight! To sum up, my understanding is as follows:
