Dear andtech, your question seems quite bashy to me. Why?
Please read again the NR about this cooperation!

If any payment for this cooperation would be involved, in which direction ever, this would be a substancial info that stringently would have to be includend in such a NR. Was there any payment mentioned? No! So what is your intention to ask this question? You could also ask how much POET payed to the 3rd party foundry, how much to BAE, to their housekeeper and so on. But this, sorry, seems to me pure bashing, stirring the pot of fear.

This cooperation makes much sense for POET and Synopsis, as Synopsis will profit a lot to be in front of their competitors to supply their service to all the POET customers which soon will be announced. It is usually the nature of a cooperation that there is mutual benefit, not a payment (as this would be a customer - client relation!)
But as the other mentioned, feel free to address the IR of POET about this issue!
