Take a look at the background of some of the more vocal among the skeptics. This Or-Bach character is the CEO of Monolithic 3D. It is a near certainty his company will cease to exist when POET goes mainstream. It is clear that POET is a new concept for him or he would have known that POET has already developed a VCSEL which enables 3D stacking of POET chips, basically realizing the benefits his technology would provide, but with on-chip lasers. But even POET's PET subset will demolish his 3D offering because it is planar and is 3/4 nodes ahead of CMOS. So POET will debut at 100nm/40nm to match current CMOS and then continue to shrink beyond what is only theoretically possible with CMOS.

I feel that the more Mr. Or-Bach reads about POET the more terrified he will become.
