I do like your stance of "reserved optimism", tradergader! Personally, I am more the "glass half full" type, and I believe me and others of my kind do your skeptical stance to keep our feet grounded. We do need to listen to what you "glass half empty" people are saying.
We need to listen and ponder your concerns. This has nothing to do with unfounded bashing, being negative and stirring up fear, uncertainty and doubt (FUD), but it is or at least should be a mandatory part of due diligence.
By thinking through any concerns, we are able to
- either detect negative issues early
- or refute negative issues early.
Both are good things, because we will gain more insight. We might not like the things under 1., but we do need to know about them, if there are any.
