An after thought on the power/ heat issue.

In the UK the take up of LED and other technologies in light bulbs has been driven by legislation to reduce power demand . Given the power savings of POET one wonders to what extent POET tecnology, once established might be legislated for on the same basis. Can the planet justify power hungry heat generating CMOS Silicon based computing once a replacement tenology is widely available?
