Very well said, mackwheaton, especially regarding the requirement for notifying the author of a deleted post.

I think such a feature should go into the Agoracom software, so that the author automatically gets notified and learns

  • which post has been deleted (link to the deleted post),
  • who deleted it and when,
  • why it was deleted, i.e. which of the Six Rules has been violated and how.
