Management should always do what is best for a company and for its shareholders. However, this is a moving target. Today something might seem like a brilliant idea, but next week you discover something far better.
This is in no way specific to POET Technologies. This is normal in business. When you are buying shares you are accepting to take the risk that things won't go as anticipated for the company or for you. If you are not willing to bear this risk, buy bonds.
BTW, I deliberately omitted from my previous post how I am personally thinking about it, because I wanted to strictly stick to the facts.
