I'm sitting here this morning reading back over some of the posts. I tend to think a little clearer when I don't have emotion in the picture.
I was a little upset when I was watching the steady decline in sp over the past few months. I was even more upset when I realized the sp was being worked down for cheaper options. When I settled down I sized up my situaton with this investment. I came up with a more clear picture of where I stand and realized i had no right to be upset.
I think many more people here are like me, in the same situation with the same thoughts.
First...I, and the majority here, got into POET at a much cheaper price with a much cheaper average. After the AGM last year we were trading at $.50.. After this present AGM we are trading at two and a half times higher and the options are set at $1.25.
Second... myself, and many more I think, seem to think of options as a gift. Even though we all know the difference it seems to play with our mind and come accross as a freeby. Far from it. If Shelly wants those options it will cost him $750,000 dollars. No gift! A lot more than most of us paid. Not only that but over past couple of weeks we could have bought that 500k shares for a lot less in the open market. Plus the fact that the company has that money to add to the coffers.
Thirdly, this company has come a long ways from this time last year and are set to make history and us shareholders a lot of money. I don't need to list the good things that have happened over that time, it's stated here everyday and everyone knows where we are and what we have.
So after hearing the reports from the AGM I spent a bit of time reasoning out where I stood with my PTK holdings and the things that have been bothering me of late.
I know now I had no reason whatsoever to be upset with this company for anything not even the steady drop in share price. Quite the contrary, this will be the best financial investment I ever made in my life and I couldnt be happier than to be where we are right now. The next 6 months or so will be very exciting and that's an understatement.
GLTA and congratulations for being are part of POET and it's disruptive technology.
