the lab and process equipment, the clean rooms, etc. were on the other side of the brick walls ... where of course photography was forbidden.
of interest, a lot of the raw materials on-site (metals, dielectrics, organics, etc.) were imported from German suppliers, e.g. CreaTec Fischer & Co GmbH @ Erligheim, Baden-Wuerttemberg.
when you are researching and developing delicious recipes, you will bake cookies in your own oven perfectly well.
however there comes a time when you have to bake 50 million cookies, each one perfectly the same, that is when you need industrial scale.
nice to know that someone ("almost") in the family has built a new $2B industrial cookie oven (500,000 sqft. expansion, dedicated to research) not too far away from Dr. T's kitchen, and they're hiring hundreds of cooks, too.
