THOUGHTS ON THE AGM

AGM are by necessity staid affairs yet the early reports from those attending the AGM, for which I am most grateful, give reassurance of the ever growing potential of POET Technologies and confidence that it represents a valuable investment.
The benefits of attending the AGM is gaining the impression at first hand that your investment is in safe hands, i.e.building faith that there is a sound management team, and confirmation that the product is developing in the way envisaged, i.e. that there is clear evidence of progressive technical development.
Given the recent appointments I remain confident of the management team is strong, the mystery for me lies in what the technical team are up to and where they currently stand with the product. We were not disappointed. What is very interesting, is the message that is emerging, about what’s happening at ODIS in Connecticut, which is being kept very closely under wraps but, it would seem that Geoffrey Taylor let slip that they have completed, last week, the fully complemented chip. Which is the news I’ve been waiting for and lift off as far as I’m concerned. What’s more there is a growing list of IP and patents being built up there. This for me guarantees the future value of this investment.
I am building the impression that given the allocation of additional resources for manpower and tools at ODIS that were announced in the June financial filings, there is a significant research and development facility slowly being built up in Connecticut. Which was perhaps why Geoffrey Taylor was looking so confident.
Given Ajit Manocha’s connections with the Presidents Committee into Advanced Manufacturing and the resources that this can tap, as well as his belief that POET is a disruptive technology, I think we are witnessing the growth of POET at ODIS Connecticut as a technical power house of great value and capable of positioning itself as an outstanding technical development company in a very competitive world - this is the future for POET.
To be part of significant technical progress in IT that this wonderful opportunity POET represents is why I invested in POET. Though I cannot deny the financial ability to replace SULA with an even bigger new trimaran is the other reason. (A Dragonfly 32 from Quorning Yachts Denmark is my dream - the Memsahib wants a new house in Poundbury, Dorset)
