Why would there need to be a halt? It was pre-market opening news. If it was an intra day release, then you could justify a halt.

The only other reason would have been a non-regulatory halt, which wouldn't have applied to today's activity.

There seems to be a weird fascination or expectation about halts on this board. I don't understand why.
