Listening to a number of the broadcast made of Ajit Manocha I would describe him as a visionary. This exceptional quality is manifested in his participation in several significant committees including the US Presidential Committee for advanced manufacturing. His participation in the GF project at Malta and his political connections as a consequence raise the bar considerably on POETs Potential. Politically there is clearly a move to bring back previously outsourced advanced manufacturing to the USA. His CV alone must make him unique in being able to envisage and influence the future of advanced manufacturing in the US and Canada.

To date we have not seen direct action from him, but my feeling is that the AGM will bring some managerial changes, which it is not worth speculating on at this stage due to the proximity of the AGM. I would however speculate that the message that POET is a disruptive technology is being heard by his political contacts, and what’s more they will have discussed the question; well what are we going to do about it?

FJ has already pointed out that we have not understood the significance of his appointment as executive, Vice Chairman, I trust that the AGM will enlighten us and that we might hear what his vision for POET is.
