yes, I too would prefer a parallel uplisting, rather than de-listing from a Canadian exchange entirely.
there is of course a caveat that some arbitrage will always happen due to FX, but it's usually immaterial.
easy examples from my own portfolio: T/TU, RIO, SW/SWIR, and -- before Essilor bought them out -- COA.
I consider the ability to hold at a senior Canadian venue in CDN$ to be much more of a benefit versus having no other option than to deal strictly at a senior foreign venue, in foreign currency.
