Although I agree with much of what you state, the premise is incorrect.
There is something that you can do, other than sell, if you don't like the path that management has recently suggested.
You can vote NO with your shares.
Although we are fairly certain that this will have little or no impact on the outcome, it would send a clear message to management.
I am not recommending, nor suggesting I will do this, merely pointing out the possibility.
It is a shareholders right, and obligation, if against (or in favour of, for that matter) the proposals management has put forth, to do so.
