Hi folks,

I think some reflective thought is required regarding the earlier post that IBM may not complete the sale of its foundry, that we assume will be purchased by Global Foundries. If true, there are some implications that may be drawn.

The article below suggests GF has been moving at best possible speed, hiring intellectual capital from IBM and others for its anticipated expansion. IBM seems to have bolted at the alter.

One might conclude IBM has now recognized POET's capacity as a competitive threat, and is prepared, at whatever cost, to put a broom handle in the spokes to slow down GF implimentation strategy. If true, a double-edged sword. Bad news is, it might temporarily slow down GF, good news is, they finally recognise there is only one POET.

Just an opinion, enjoy the article. Look forward to comments, and other perspectives.
