I've always been leaning in favor of AMD too.

Hard call on who it will be, but if I were shooting in the dark (which we essentially are), that would be my intended target.

They are positioned to commercialize something like POET and it would give them that edge they've always needed to get a leg up on Intel and become more dominant in that sector. Intel might have felt like standing by their Silicon empire.

That said, a lot has changed over the past few years and I think this technology has opened up possibilities and mindsets that resisted it as a possibility less than a handful of years ago. It will be exciting to see who ends up leading the charge when everything finally comes together.
