I remember POET stating their product could produce holographic displays as well.

It seems as though POET isn't necessary to produce the images:

Other rumoured features include a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 2GB of RAM, and a heavily customised version of Google’s Android operating system, similar to the version that powers the Kindle Fire tablets.

Software, for this task, seems to be the driver; the processor is fast enough.

They don't mention battery life when playing with the holographic images; I wonder why?
