It’s hard to imagine that exactly 70 years ago the preparations for the greatest assembly of military forces ever were being pieced together here in the UK prior to operation OVERLORD, the allied landings in Normandy. The build-up of US, British, Canadian and other nations’ forces could not go unnoticed. Secrecy was paramount. Units were aware that something big was happening, but not what, where or when, I feel their sense of anticipation and uncertainty parallels feelings building up on this board about POET’s potential.
D Day was delayed until 4 June 1944, I wonder when P Day will happen?
