From the gloom that infected this board recently a new air of confidence has emerged in the light of Q1 financial returns.
The MD&A statement is upbeat and positive and our Hub leaders have made excellent rallying speeches which are reccommended by a significant number of active posters. Confidence here has clearly grown this weekend. Whether or not a news release is coming no longer really matters IMO because it is abundantly clear from the Q1 report, that M8 is do-able and that we are working with partners in all but name. with more to come on the horizon viz further partners and IP.
PTI has a verified IC product, built using the POET process at a third party foundry, that works faster, using less energy, producing less heat, all measured in significant orders of magnitude over silicon chips. Additionally POET has a newly listed advantage of being more reliable. Plenty of rational real factors for us to be confident
The POET chip is timed to enter a market which is growing rapidly at a time when CMOS cannot offer the imporvements desired in the industry to meet the percieved future needs of the industry. Companys in the CMOS markets are having to incurr significant R&D costs staying with CMOS which let's face is money t hat wouuld be far better spent working with POET.
I will have to get David (DNWL) to do the sums again but just how much of $350 billion p.a. market can POET realistically expect to achive? The ball park answer alone points to the fact that anyone who has invested in POET is in danger of becoming seriouly wealthy whether through the licensing route or buyout.
Thanks to the amazing Dr Taylor his tech team and the POET managment team, we have every right to feel confident. It is simply a matter of time for others to realise this too and wonder why they had not spotted this earlier or why they were so scynical about the technology.
Sure we are sure.
