I don't think so, not according to the link I provided.

I agree that chaos could result of an inventor walking out on his company, but I've never heard of that happening (it certainly could have).

It is enshrined in the US Constitution (for what that's worth) so I believe it is the inventor, which makes sense, who holds the patent.
