For all those who were not impressed with Peter and Geoff's 'nothing-but-the-facts" soliloquys on Monday, I draw your attention to the recent Valent Pharmaceuticals debacle.
At a recent luncheon, two individuals attempting to paint a rosey picture of the potential hostile takeover, spoke a little too exuberantly about the companies. Several astute analysts caught them out on quite a few factual errors, some of them not so minor, either.
It was reported that to analyst David Maris of BMO Capital Markets, Mike Pearson (CEO of Valeant) is "...just an executive who's telling cheap stories in order to sell a deal"
Hail to Peter and Geoff for being nothing but stand up guys!
