I have been in touch with Andrea by PM, she has been inclined not to post because of a number of concerns and because she values the additional time that she now has for other interests. She is not troubled by the rejection of the idea of Association, but is by the manner in which the idea was rejected.

I feel there are some lessons to be learned from her experience:

1. We must take care to use the proper tone when we respond to each other, rudeness or personal remarks are not a part of proper communication.

2. We must take great care not to suppress the human right of freedom of speech by being extremely careful in the use or threat of the use of censorship or deletions.

I speak I believe for many on this board in saying that Andrea Koch’s contribution to this board has been of the highest order. I respect her decision, but would greatly value the return of her clear, balanced and considered post to this board .

I truly hope that circumstances change so that she resumes her posts
