Too early to process it all yet

While the event did not go over like most people hoped, it was instructive in many ways. The brilliant scientist acted like a brilliant scientist; I mean, he could not make eye contact with anyone, especially anyone who asked a question. Actually, at times, I thought he appeared and spoke more "regularly" than I would have expected (no doubt cuz he's Canadian - LOL!).
I thought Peter did better than I expected, but I went into this conference with not as high a regard of him than most posters. So, my bar was lower, and he cleared it. The fellow from IBK, well, he was the guy throwing the party, and he was the most polished speaker, and, like a good salesman, was able to summarize the potential nicely. The madame President lady was quite lovely (aka hot), but at times, she had a look on her that said, "why did we get these people to present?"). But that maybe her look, not that that matters much at all, just an observation.
The stock went down not because of the presentation, but because no big time news; I saw this type of market reaction coming since about a week after they announced the EC event (and the fact that I knew I could easily be wrong, is the reason I didn't sell more of my position last week). It's a completley different company, but micro and small caps rhyme. The warrant stuff did reinforce my hypothesis, but still, one can never be sure. I certainly did want to see a big time NR this morning!
But, the NR we did get could be very meaningful, although it seems as if it will be the same fellow, Mr. Chu, doing most of the work on the account. Not saying he's good or bad, but one can always hope for better in the PR department, as the company does need some help there.
As I posted last week, I sold about 18% of my position for $2.07, and did buy back today at $1.79 (all US$). In the grand scheme of things, I should have followed my intuition and done better than that. You know, sort of like POET may have done better with its opportunity - but everyone needs to understand, things don't always go the way you plan them.
Was I swayed by some of the posters here - I think somewhat. Look, many of the longs make very good arguments, and whatever good arguments can be made on the short side are not exactly long-lived around here.
To me, the main short argument that can be made by other than a tech genius, whose argument I wouldn't understand anyway, is essentially this: how is it that we are so lucky to be in on a thing of this much magnitude which hardly anyone knows about? Seems like a weird argument to counter the excellent due diligence that has been done with respect to the tech, but experience tells me it holds some water. Many are expected one heck of a lot of appreciation in the share price, which, by my definition anyway, makes this a highly speculative stock, but if you read this board, you'd think it was a foregone conclusion.
Risk/reward, though, seems very bullish, and it got more bullish today!!
Did I post something about writing a lot of words recently??? LOL! GLTA
