Message: Retro Comment: Midas Letter - Interview with Peter Copetti

I know this was probably discussed at nauseum over the past few days but since I’ve been so busy with my day job of late I figured I’d give my two cents for whomever wishes to listen.

This interview to me signifies an extremely positive sentiment towards where the company is heading. PC’s undertone throughout the presentation was one of someone exuding confidence with regards to POET and its product. Aside from the qualitative assessment, the fact that NDA’s have already been signed and TDK’s are out the door is also a great sign. Moreover, his mention of charging ahead on commercial deals to increase shareholder value was very in line with my current expectations of PTK. As for his comment on looking to forge alliances rather than sell the Co. outright, I think this could in part be perceived as posturing so as not to show his card to any potential buyers saying: should you not choose to buy us we do plan to go it alone if we have to (the likelihood of this in my opinion is slim).

Of concern to me was the fact that shareholders such as Pinetree, IBK, Brandt, Alpha, and management only control roughly 42% of the float. My question to anyone on this board is where do we stand should all options and warrants get exercised? Do these main holders above hold a majority stake?

AS I’ve mentioned in previous posts, many short-term catalysts remain (MS8, potential PDA, the doctor presenting on Monday, etc.).

Just my brief two cents. Now back to my day job.
