Without POET I would estimate that graphene is 15yrs off. With POET, I'd say 20-25yrs off. Last I read, graphene has no bandgap. I don't really have any interest in single-use transistors, no matter the electron/hole mobility...

If POET does what is it purported to do there will be no incentive to develop graphene with the same fervour as we do today. R&D will be focused on fully developing POET technologies. This will be the same as in CMOS, Flash, etc. today. The charts attached show why all other tech is held at bay - no clear advantage.

I feel that POET(PET)@100nm is the line you need to cross to make it better than CMOS today, with potential for future improvements over the next decade and a half to look forward to.

My gut tells me that when the 100nm is announced it will actually already be at 90nm.
