So does anyone here know what the process is to move shares into a tfsa that is already filled with mutual funds which i want to sell off the make room for my shares

Can this be done? or would i have to sell my mutuals and then buy the equal amount in poet shares?

I'm really looking for a way to save those capital gain taxes which here in Manitoba are i believe are around 23%
