Yes, ScaryRaccoon, that's why I always said "calendar day" instead of "day" or "trading day". Maybe I refine my model to disregard weekends and holidays, but I think it is already good enough to better understand the orders of magnitude.

I set up that model to estimate when my early retirement plan would more or less likely kick into action, and it is nice to see that this would be much earlier than I thought before. Oh, the miracles of the exponential function!

The major flaw of this model is of course that it extrapolates past growth into the future. This is probably a false assumption and might have a greater impact than the trading day versus calendar day deviation. However, as long as the share price goes northward overall, and the more it approaches my target, the better the estimate will be. My sons calls making these estimates "gamification", and he could be right. ;-)
