ScaryRaccoon, I wouldn't bet that there won't be a buyout. What I wanted to point out is that a buyout is not inevitable. At least an early buyout followed by a squeeze-out is not inevitable. At least I hope so. At least any buyout price should be right. At least it should be $70+ per share.

The real risk is that when the share price is at, say, $15 and someone offers $25, a majority of shareholders will jump and sell – instead of waiting until $70+.

By the way, what is the Canadian law regarding a squeeze-out? In Germany the majority shareholder needs a stake of at least 95 % to squeeze out remaining shareholders. And of course he must compensate them adequately.
