Message: I would prefer an outright sale of the company, with the money in the bank

It wasn't that long ago that the company was publically saying the same thing. We heard quotes of liquidity events and auctions between potential bidders "accelerating very quickly". But the offers didn't come, or at least, they were insulting given POET's potential. The SSC was formed, and the direction was publicly changed to a licensing pathway.

Smart, strategic, measured. Either way, shareholder value will have greater potential, because either a product will be licensed built and garnering revenue in the short term, but also providing a monstrous threat to the 500 billion dollar semiconducter industry. At that stage, it will all be about market share and competition. And at any point along the way, when big tech can no longer laugh off POET as something "cute" there's the potential that we're taking out. If more than one big tech company come to that conclusion, we have our "perfect storm".
