Ironic, yes.
Nevertheless, that does not preclude POET from licencing and farming out work indefinitely, spewing fountains of cash onto it's shareholders.
The problem I have with them selling is that it gives the buyer an unparalled competitive advantage, which essentially would ruin the industry.
It would be like Intel being owned by HP, and the only way to get an Intel chip would be to buy an HP computer.
Licencing solves the problem, by handing out the chips to licencees, which in the beginning at least, will be everyone.
POET becomes the new Intel.
